Arrow and Honor Co: How One Air Force Veteran Is Turning Archery Into a Lifeline for the Warrior Community

BY T.F. Cooper

In every generation of veterans, there are a few standout leaders. These are the individuals who do more than complete their service. They take the hardships, the skills, and the mission driven mindset gained in uniform and turn them into something that lifts others up. Dan Horgan, Air Force Veteran, entrepreneur, and founder of Arrow and Honor Co, is one of those leaders.

This is not a story about business.

It is a story about purpose.

From Nuclear Sites to Combat Zones The Foundation of a Warrior

Dan’s journey reflects a lifetime of service that shaped his character, resilience, and leadership.

Over more than twenty years in the Air Force, he took on roles that required unwavering commitment. He served in security forces guarding nuclear missile fields. He flew on the E 3 AWACS. He earned his JTAC qualification as a Tactical Air Control Party member conducting combat missions in Afghanistan.

Most veterans could end their story there.

Dan did not.

Alongside his military service, he spent seven years with the Baltimore Police Department. His experience included Patrol, SWAT, and citywide narcotics investigations. From purchasing heroin undercover to working with specialized units, he saw the harsh realities of the communities he served. It was service in a different uniform, but with the same sense of purpose.

His mission then carried him overseas once more. He flew ISR missions on the King Air 300 and served as a Site Lead in Afghanistan, combining operational skill with leadership in a high stress environment.

From the Battlefield to the Creative World

After years in fields defined by precision and intensity, Dan transitioned into a new chapter that surprised many.He stepped into the world of marketing and brand building.

At Black Rifle Coffee Company, he discovered a new kind of mission. He supported the CEO as “The Hand” and later became a Marketing Director. Dan helped shape campaigns, events, and social media initiatives that resonated deeply within the veteran community. He learned the power of authentic storytelling and the impact a brand can have when built from lived experience.

Those lessons became the foundation for what would become his next great endeavor.

Arrow and Honor Co A Mission Rooted in Healing and Community

Why Dan’s Work Matters

The transition from service to civilian life often creates distance from the tribe that once provided belonging and support. Many veterans find themselves searching for grounding and connection.

Archery offers a return to clarity.

It offers breath.

It offers a mission.

Arrow and Honor Co helps veterans rediscover purpose through a discipline that requires focus, patience, and presence. The brand represents more than clothing or equipment. It represents a way back to community.

Dan created something that meets veterans where they are and gives them something to stand with. His work demonstrates that leadership does not end with service. It evolves.

A Veteran A Builder A Leader

Dan has lived many lives. Airman. Police officer. Combat leader. ISR professional. Marketing strategist. Entrepreneur. Through each chapter, one constant has remained.

He is committed to serving others.

As a military spouse, he understands resilience from both sides of the uniform. As an advocate, he champions the importance of community and mental health. As a founder, he is building something that empowers veterans in a powerful and authentic way.

Arrow and Honor Co is the result of every skill he has earned and every experience he has endured. It is a brand with a heartbeat.
