Warrior Rising is the Nation's #1 Veteran Entrepenuer non - profit.

For many veterans, the hardest part of leaving the military isn’t the deployments or the danger—it’s losing the mission.

The structure, purpose, and team that once defined daily life suddenly disappear. But for many veterans, entrepreneurship becomes the next mission.

Building a business allows veterans to continue serving in a different way—by solving problems, creating value, leading teams, and building something bigger than themselves.

That’s exactly why organizations like Warrior Rising exist.

Warrior Rising has become one of the most impactful nonprofits helping veterans transition from military service into successful entrepreneurs.

Their programs are designed specifically for veterans and military families who want to build businesses, launch startups, and turn ideas into real opportunities.

Right now, Warrior Rising is offering two powerful programs designed to help veterans at different stages of their entrepreneurial journey.

Whether you’re still exploring an idea or already building a tech startup, these programs are designed to give veterans the tools, mentorship, and structure needed to move forward.

SDVET LaunchPoint: The First Step for Veteran Entrepreneurs

Many veterans know they want to start a business, but they’re unsure where to begin.

That’s where SDVET LaunchPoint comes in.

SDVET LaunchPoint is a free, four-hour virtual course designed specifically for service-disabled veterans who want to explore and validate business ideas before committing to building a full company.

This program is designed to help veterans answer critical early-stage questions like:

  • Is my idea actually viable?

  • Who is my target customer?

  • Does this problem really exist in the market?

  • Is entrepreneurship the right path for me?

Instead of jumping straight into building a company, LaunchPoint helps veterans test their ideas, clarify their strengths, and develop confidence in their next steps.

Participants will learn how to:

• Identify and refine business ideas

• Understand their personal skills and strengths

• Explore market demand

• Test whether their concept solves a real problem

• Decide whether entrepreneurship is the right next mission

For many veterans, this program becomes the first real step toward building a business.

Eligibility for SDVET LaunchPoint

To participate in the program, applicants must:

• Be a U.S. military veteran with an honorable discharge

• Have a service-connected disability rating

• Be in the idea stage or early stage of building a business

• Or be a current business owner exploring a new direction

• Be ready to learn, build, and take action

Warrior Rising Activate: The Accelerator for Veteran Tech Founders

While LaunchPoint focuses on exploring ideas, Warrior Rising’s new Activate Program is built for veterans who are ready to execute.

Activate is an 8-week virtual pre-seed accelerator designed specifically for veteran and military spouse founders building technology, SaaS, or dual-use companies.

The program is run in partnership with Virginia Tech’s Boeing Center for Veteran Transition and Military Families, bringing world-class resources and expertise into the veteran entrepreneurship space.

Unlike many startup programs that focus primarily on pitching or theory, Activate is built around hands-on execution and validation.

Participants will work through the real steps required to move from concept to traction.

What Veterans Will Learn in Activate

During the program, founders will focus on:

• Customer discovery

• Validating real problems in the market

• Testing solutions with potential users

• Building a Minimum Viable Product (MVP)

• Developing traction for their startup

This approach forces founders to focus on building something that people actually need, rather than simply creating a pitch deck.

Who Should Apply

Activate is designed for:

• Veterans building technology or SaaS startups

• Military spouse founders in the tech space

• Entrepreneurs working on dual-use solutions (civilian + defense applications)

• Early-stage founders looking to validate and launch their product

If you’re a veteran building in technology, SaaS, defense innovation, or emerging tech, this program is one of the most valuable opportunities currently available in the veteran entrepreneurship ecosystem.

Why Programs Like This Matter for Veterans

Veterans are uniquely positioned to succeed as entrepreneurs.

Military service develops traits that are essential for building companies:

• Leadership

• Discipline

• Problem solving

• Mission-focused thinking

• Resilience under pressure

But transitioning those skills into business often requires guidance, mentorship, and a supportive community.

That’s exactly what Warrior Rising provides.

Their programs help veterans transform military leadership into entrepreneurial success, while connecting them with mentors, investors, and a network of fellow veteran founders.

For veterans searching for their next mission, entrepreneurship can provide purpose, independence, and the opportunity to build something that continues serving others.

The Mission Continues

Leaving the military doesn’t mean the mission ends.

For many veterans, the next mission is building something that impacts the world in a new way.

If you’re a veteran exploring entrepreneurship—or already building something in tech—these two programs from Warrior Rising are worth serious consideration.

Take this opportunity and bet on yourself.

Take the next step.
